FINALLY MAKING PROGRESS!!!!

So I went to the doctor last Thursday and was told that my cervix had dropped tremendously in one week. I was like "okay, but that's it!!" They scheduled me to come back today, Tuesday, and I was somewhat torked off thinking "they really think something is going to change for me in only five days...right!" Well, actually it did. Over the weekend, because it was so darn nice, I was out walking, walking, walking. I started feeling some weird tingly something or another, but like I know what the hell a contraction is. Apparently I am having them because I finally am dilated...only a one, but hey better than none at all, right?! The doctor asked me if I had any concerns and I said no, but then changed my mind and decided I might as well tell her my largest concern: babies weight!!! All along I have dreamed of delivering a six pound baby. Why you may wonder...not sure, but just had this number in my head! I explained to her I was scared I had a giant on my hands. Is this baby going to come out with a head full of hair, a full vocabulary, and ready to literally walk out of the hospital?? She scheduled an ultrasound to check the weight because she was now guessing baby to be about eight pounds. Unfortunately for me she was only one ounce off! According to the ultrasound the baby is seven pounds and 15 ounces! So imagine me, dreaming of a six pound baby, hearing this news! I was about in tears. "You will have a healthy baby she says!" Oh that is music to my ears, no really it is, but does she realize I have three weeks left to my due date...and at a 1/2 a pound a week....we are talking a nine or nine and 1/2 pound baby. So I do want my baby to be healthy, but I also want to be able to deliver naturally too and what about me and the pain (okay maybe I am being selfish--suck it up sarah!!)

Well I go back next Wednesday and we can only hope things progress quickly and I don't carry this poor baby around to grow a whole lot longer, but I'm all about nature taking it's course so whenever it decides to come is fine. I guess I am trying to convince myself that I am READY so baby can come out whenever it feels like it....

Hopefully I have exciting news to post soon. However, time will only tell!!!!!

Cleaning Lady Gone Mad!!

I had a pretty productive weekend to say the least. I am currently taking six credits to finish up my middle school endorsement, which will also move me over on the pay scale, yippee!! Anyways, I finished up doing the work for those--I pushed myself pretty hard because I was determined, no matter what, that I would not be sitting at home on my maternity leave with our new addition working on work--school stuff!!! I had two and a half weeks of pure hell, or maybe I shoudl say Jeff did, because I was so stressed, but needless to say--I am DONE!! Since I finished up that stuff last week, I spent this weekend cleaning. I'm not talking about a light dusting and vacuuming either! I got up Saturday morning at 7:00--Jeff went to work--thank gosh or I probably wouldn't have gotten have of my list accomplished. Anyways, I started by cleaning our bedroom--I washed walls, curtains, blinds, ceilings, etc. This was a contagious spurt that continued throughout the entire house. Then, I dusted and vacuumed and even cleaned three closets--which is all we have!! My mom came over and set up the cradle and I made room for that in the bedroom--right by daddy's head--lucky Jeff, unless he decides to switch sides of the bed with me! Needless to say, I finished with the house at 6:00 Saturday night. I now feel like any time this baby decides to make his/her arrival we are ready! (I say that, but I know this week I will start another list--a whole new one!!) Oh, actually I haven't started packing a bag yet, so hopefully it holds off for awhile! I have in my head that this baby will come when he/she is ready, and it probably won't be early by any means. Therefore, I am not planning on baby until March 1 or after--my due date! However, for those of you who really know me and know how anal I am about planning things out--this is very difficult! I have learned that you can't plan for the arrival of your baby. You can plan up to the arrival, but you can't exactly tell baby to come tomorrow because that's what works best for your schedule--sure would be nice though!! Well, hopefully we don't get a big wind storm this week because our house is so clean it may go blowing away! I go to the doctor on Thursday so we will see if I have anything exciting to post, but if you know me and the way things go...don't look for an update until March 1 or after!!!!!!!!!
