Here are some pictures of the baby room. Notice the nice Iowa State piggy bank on the dresser! Daddy has already started a college fund for baby Schmid and of course it had to be ISU! I am kind of an anal person and it really throws the whole "theme" of the room off, but I suppose I can or will have to deal with it!
I am officially 34 weeks pregnant to the date! The anticipation and nerves are beginning to really set in. We are completely ready for the baby, well as far as the room and all the "necessities" go. Emotionally, Physically, and mentally...that may be another story! I "think" "we" are ready, but only time can tell!
I had my checkup on Wednesday and everything was good. I made the mistake of asking the doctor if she could tell how big of a baby we had on our hands. She is guessing the upper end of four pounds! There goes the great thought of having a six pound baby. I'm not sure why I thought I'd have a six pound child anyways, I was an eight pound baby, but I guess maybe it was wishful thinking! The babies head was down and she said it probably will stay like that now that I am this far along. That was great news to me, other than the fact babies feet are right in my ribs and I feel that quite frequently!!
I have been feeling fine other than a little more tired than usual, restless nights that turn in to little sleep (I guess preparing me for baby), and a little bit more emotional than I ever have been in my life! I think the thought of labor has me quite scared and all the things that I don't know about a baby! Thank goodness grandma is only a few blocks away :)
The next doctor's appointment is January 28 so we'll see what the news, if any is by than!

Sarah, your room is adorable! Matt didn't add any fine touches to Dax's room although he did have a few suggestions that I politely turned down ;) I'm so excited for you....I'm thinking girl!! Goodluck & we can't wait to see you both! Oh & about the weight thing your doctor could be off as much as 2lbs. The day before I had Dax my doctor said he was easily a high 7lb baby. He was a low 6lb baby the very next day.....you just never know. Hang in there!
